Ship shape service
The AIG model has changed and Olive Chapel is shifting to more of a co-teaching model where the AIG teacher coordinates, plans, and instructs with the regular classroom teacher. This allows for more higher level work to happen in the classroom. This also allows for students that are not identified to receive enrichment when needed. There are several models of co teaching. Below is a powerpoint to explain all the different co-teaching options and our AIG identification process. The co-teaching AIG model is a county initiative and in our Wake County AIG plan which can be found on the county website. The students at Olive Chapel are actually receiving more than the required amount of AIG services using the current model and have more opportunity to be enriched through their whole day rather than a mere 45 minutes a week.I am more than happy to discuss the service models in more detail. Please contact me anytime with questions.
